Nidhi’s practice primarily revolves around intellectual property with a focus on trademarks and copyrights.
Her expertise lies in strategizing and handling contentious and non-contentious matters pertaining to trademarks, copyrights including management of IP portfolios, enforcements, brand acquisitions, assignments, licensing and franchising issues, copyright infringement, protection of trade secrets, royalty aspects and creation of security interests over IP assets, etc. She also advises clients on piracy claims, transfer of copyright and royalty, issuing and defending cease and desist notices, literary rights of authors, copyright issues relating to the digital economy, etc. She actively assists on matters related to media and entertainment, technology, besides aspects involving consumer protection. She regularly advises on various aspects relating to the interplay of IP, technology and e-commerce. She has advised clients on compliances relating to internet intermediaries, data protection and data privacy and cloud computing and issues relating to data flow across multiple jurisdictions.

Nidhi has completed her law degree from Mumbai University and is currently pursuing a course in Certified Information Privacy Professional – Europe (CIPP/E). Prior to joining the firm, Nidhi was associated with a reputed law firm in Mumbai where she was involved in managing the IP portfolios of domestic and multinational companies across different sectors and assisting in matters ranging from enforcement of trademark for famous marks, copyright infringement and various breach of contract issues.
